Delicate Stepper card.

Sharing a stepper card with you today,  delicate colours  and  the beautiful  "Delicate Mum" Poppy stamp new die.

I started with the background, using memory box  "Hearts heart confetti stencil" , using  Sparkle  gel medium through the stencil....dabbed  a touch of distress ink "Tattered rose" on the  glitter hearts when dry..

also inked and glittered the edges. 

After I cut two  poppy die Delicate mum, using a palette knife on my glass mat (or craft sheet) I used the sparkle medium to spread on these blooms ,   it is a rough texture compared with glue and glitter. so holds it shape..

Tiny decorative heart top  left .. I cut three from Open studio "Cross stitch My heart" die, score in the middle of each, join together with glue.

Stick pins I made myself, placed these  in loopy bow of seam binding, pearl heart to finish.

I just added Love as a sentiment.. I can use this card for many occasions.. Wedding..Birthday..etc 

Dry embossed in a folder two side panels and added pearls.

Sorry another Sympathy card today, I have made two of this design..For my box till needed..

A lovely comment was left on my last card, saying she thinks this is when a handmade card should be done!! I totally agree..When I lost my parents the comfort I gained from friends who sent me a handmade card is hard to explain, just knew they were with their for me..
But I also understand those that cannot make a card, as they find it too upsetting.

The cards are for a very special family we have known for over 45 years.. (hope you understand)

I have had this "Crafts concepts" Sun Rays embossing folder a long while (Discontinued )..Thought I would use it..With  Memory box "Arched Window".. Spellbinders "Crosses one" (Discontinued).
Also used Lavish branch, flowers inked with DI Seedless Preserves, White ribbon also dyed with this ink..

the card size 5"X6.1/2" cut with Grand Rectangles...dainty scallop Cherry Lynn "Mini Pearl Rectangles Doily (length shortened)  emboss the in..Spellbinders A2 matting basics..
embossed card ..first cut with spellbinders Curved Corners matting basic B...
Then same technique I used on this card..http://pam-simcrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/with-sympathy.html  I embossed..
 all layered up as shown with gems.

This is how I kept the embossed outline of the die ..in the Tattered lace "Ditsy Dots" folder


I have done this bit of a tutorial as some did not understand my one.. how to emboss in a folder with your cutting die in place..

 Turn over Cutting edge up

 Place in a folder..Die Cutting edge up..

Folder open..add tan embossing mats and one clear plate.

Run through your die cutting machine..

 After is has been embossed  

This is how it looks..with your die outline around the edge..

Mothers Day Card.

Beautiful sunny day here.   but still very cold..  Think I'll be staying in.. crafting  later!!


Today's stampin card I am blaming  a blog friend "Patricia" for using this beautiful "Stampin up stamp"...   "Stippled Blossoms"...I believe a lot have purchased this since Patricia made some cards with it!!!

I have used Whispers  "whisper lilac" and Distress  "Seedless Preserves"  to stamp the Blossoms..
Masked these of for the background SU  "En Francais" text and leaves. distress "Bundled sage".
Die cut with Spellbinders Grand ovals and  Grand "Decorative ovals".
Liquid pearls added to center of the flowers.

Thought I would make a fun card using the "Marina Sailboats"   "Canvas beach chairs" and  "Heart balloons"..

Started by cutting some clouds using Memory box "Open studio" Cloud Bank..distress with blue inks..
Wave border you get with the boats..cut three and embossed with same die, again shaded in blue inks.
 Cut two boats  large and two small in white and black..
Chairs I draw black lines and colour in some red.
Sand...some of my husbands fine sandpaper,  (do not think he`ll miss this small amount..
Birds I draw by hand  (think you can tell) LOL...

Marina  Sailboats  will be really useful for men and boys card!!!..

Easter Chicken...

Frosty sunny start this morning..

Are you thinking of Easter cards yet,  me either!!!  wanted to have a play with this Frantic Stamper  09387 cute "Chicken in An Egg" die...

Placed it in the new Poppystamps "Woodland Oval" not a bad fit ..then layered onto spellbinders ovals..
Gorgeous flowers are from last year again Frantic stamper 09133..."Easter Lily"

Love this new embossing folder by Creative expression ..Sue Wilson .."Cross Stitch" (blue card) A4 folder.
Tattered lace "Quilted Cushion" in white card..8x8 folder

Chicken and Lilies coloured with a mix of distress inks in ..yellows and marmalade. stickles ad a bit of glitter..
Finish with a bow and feather..

A Mother`s Day Wish.

This is my DT card for Poppystamp dies, I`m sharing today..here if you`d like a peek.

 Sharing a card for "Mother`s Day" here in the UK it is Sunday 15th March..sad day for me really, this would have been my late Mum`s  90th Birthday..

Thought I would share a technique I love to do..I have used the Poppystamp "Woodland Heart frame" die to Emboss this shape onto my card, then used an embossing folder with the Die still in place on the card..To emboss the whole card front..

This is the card front already embossed and started cutting the heart inner away..add 3D foam tape to reverse to add dimension..  

NEVER place your cutting die face down!! to emboss in your folder...

Once you have embossed your heart (NOT CUT ...Just embossed)  leave the die in place on your card..Add to your folder..DIE facing  up with card on top.  Leave your folder OPEN.. add your embossing mats and plate.. all machine are different, so you might need more or less shims..Never force through die cutting machine.. 

I cut the woodland heart frame in brown and white card, adhered the brown to the embossed part, inked edges of white frame in pink, this I adhered to the top and bottom tips only..

Flowers are Poppystamp Arched poppies, centre cut`s  away, infilled after inking and glittering, a few swirls added from Beverly Vine.

My homemade stick pins, feathers  with a ribbon bow.. just see under the feathers  word "Love" from memory box open studio collection.

Dont you just love these delicate blooms by Poppystamps.."Delicate  Mum" die. you don't need much with them..(Well I Do LOL)..  used "Whidby and Theo" Butterflies.....Vintage "Happy Birthday"  ..This is on Spellbinders  Die D-lites.."Swirl Delight" rectangle...
I used a Memory Box stencil for the background  "Tiny Dot"....put white embossing paste through, then sprinkled with glitter..

Made these stick pins with the ribbon bow.

Had another go with Spellbinder Shapeabilities "Blooming Collection", really is a good size die..
This time I have used the inner part to the frame with outer one in Bright Green..
Poppystamps "Heartland Oval frame"  is in the center in Lilac..never used these colours together before, so being brave here!!!

Card size 81/4" x 6"..
Not a quick card this one..
Just used the word "Love" ..can me so many occasions...from M/B "All About the Love" collection.
Floral arrangement..Small Iceland poppy .."True Love Stem"..Lorelai leaf.. with ribbon..

Laid down for photo seem a better colour...

Sharing a quick make card for "Mothers day".

Started by cutting this delicate ..Spellbinder Shapeabilities.."Blooming Collection"  frame in blue..
I next cut in white spellbinder square 5" die on white card....Then placed two more squares smaller dies and embossed.. Adhered  the cut blue frame.. layered this up in blue and white makes a card size 5"1/2...

Flower Poppystamps "Delicate Mum" die  cut two (would look nice flat).. added pearls, M/B "Tall bamboo" ..Frantic Stamper.."Small Solid Bow"..stamped in blue ink onto  P/S "General store Tags" you get three in this set, this is middle size..
