70th Husband Birthday.
Good evening friends, followers and callers by, welcome to new follower, sorry cannot find who you are..thank you for joining me.
Sharing my card for my DH 70th birthday next week!... racked my brains for something different for him.. He is a pond fisherman and typically fishes in the rain!!! He goes around 3 times a week..
Concertina card..image "Best Of La Pashe 2014" cd from C/C a few weeks ago.. Decoupage for depth.
Main card I cut with Spellbinders Grand Labels one. Two pieces .. one for the back and one for the front which has been cut in the middle with a Grand square.
I used Tattered lace .. Panorama Dies, for the sides concertina.
I added Cattails..borders..grass.. and Weeping Willow Branches to these.
Mock stitching white gel pen.
Think you can see the side and back here.
Sue Wilson "Happy Birthday" die with M/B 70!.
added glossy Accents to look like rain..

ReplyDeleteMorning Pam, Wow !!! this card was 'made' for your hubby, you couldn't have asked for a better image when he is a pond fisherman and mostly in the rain !!! I'm loving the concertina part, it provides a 'stage' for the decoupage etc, really lovely.

ReplyDeleteMorning Pam,
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous fun card. I ordered this cd from C&C they took my payment and then after about a week they just sent a email to say the payment had been refunded, I email to find out why again it took ages for them to reply and just said it was logistic reasons. Not good enough in my eyes. So disappointed.

Pam this is a wonderful card for your husband, great. About the grumpy face of anglers I had very smile. Have a nice birthday party next week.

Very creative card; love it! Gives the impression that you are inside looking out at him sitting in the rain.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Pam. Looks like it took ages to make. So much detail :)
ReplyDeleteI make that 3 cards for DH's 70th now. Will they all be from you?
I have a spare jigsaw die as I accidentally ordered 2 of that design. It's in my For Sale section. If you're interested email me as no prices up as yet. It's £2.99 plus p&p. Same as I paid.
I order from Crafter's Companion every once in a while so saw it advertised on their home page :)
Wonderful 'man' card Pam, what a great design!

Wonderful card Pam - first thing I thought of "do you have to hang him out to dry!"
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower - I do love your cards. I just moved and things have been upside down so I have not been able to do anything for the last 6 months. Hopefully I can start up again before Halloween! You will see me around because now I am subscribing to your blog.

Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteoh this is fab.
I love your superb design of this.
It's my hubbies Birthday on Sunday, and he is a very keen fisherman so this would be perfect for him.
By the way I haven't made his card yet, so I may just borrow a few ideas.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
