Aperture With A Swing Bauble..

Good morning friends, followers and visitors, welcome to new follower Meine Bastelwelt. thank you for joining me.

Sharing my DT card for Poppystamps blog today.

I have a few followers who ask how I do "Aperture cards" with a die and add a frame, so I have taken photos to do a step by step, making an aperture for a swing bauble..

Finished card 5.1/2" x 6"..

1.

 Main card folded in half.
I am using the two largest die from Poppystamps Stitched Main Street Tags.
using both dies to find the centre of the card where I want my cut out to be and large enough for the bauble to swing.

 2.
Use the smallest die only for the cut out!
Open card and run through your cutting machine.
3.
Finished cut out.

4.
Place the paper you are using inside the card. again put the smallest die one you have used for the cut out back in the frame.
Draw a pencil line around.
Using your die on the blue paper, cut this on your pencil line.

ONLY if you are adding paper to your card! you do this..

5.

Using your two dies together, cut a white frame, this is for your Aperture.. Front of the card.
6.

Glue your blue paper to the card front.
I cut away to leave a small border (After Stamping and embossing with White embossing powder).
The glue your frame to the card..

Finished card.. I also used White Gesso on the Poinsettias and berries..
list below what I have used..

Thank you for stopping by and hope you understand the tutorial on to-days card..Pam x

  22. Hi, Pam! I remember way-back-when you were a new blogger. Your artwork was already elegantly, lovingly gorgeous. But now, you have brought a Beauty to card making which is uniquely yours. The way you magically arrange and combine die cuts, glitter, EP, and colors is remarkable. I can usually identify your cards prior to seeing your name. Thank you for not only sharing gorgeousness with me, but having a way of revealing your loving heart in your masterpieces. It's a joy visiting your blog. As for this amazing Beauty, you have outdone yourself yet again! Love the gesso textures and sparkling glitter on the thinnest of your die cuts! The color is icy and clean. Thanks, too, for the helpful tutorial! Hugs, de
