Hello friends and followers.
Sharing a card with you today, I must confess I was not a fan of Fairies, WOW change my mind since these pretty dies came along from Poppystamps May release.
Thought I would create a woodland scene with "Princess Faerie" as a silhouette.. I`m sure she would look just as pretty with no wings, as a child dancer.
I have die cut three fairies to add depth, wings have been cut with sparkly black card.. I used foam sticky tape on the back.
In this photo is my very old "Angelina Fusible Fibre" you get in a packet, you pull some fibres out and lay a thin layer onto half a sheet of folded copy paper, sandwich the fibres by folding the paper over, then using a med heat iron onto the paper, iron the fibres together, this makes it fused together.. I adhered my wings with pva glue and cut around with scissors.
Added a touch of blue ink to the white background.
These fibres give a lovely delicate look to her wings. I adhered them to the silhouette with pva glue.
I grounded her onto the Dotted Curve, stamped with the new Fairy Greetings.. Swaying Birch has been cut in grey card and inked some shading in grey, Chirping Birds in the branch`s.
Magnificent Mini Faeries with Mushrooms and Toadstools .
dotted a few crystal gems. finished card size 5.1/2" x 6.1/2".
Hope you like this card..my first attempt with Faerie`s..
Thank you for stopping by Pam x.

ReplyDeleteLovely fairy card Pam....like you I'm not fairy fan but think like you I could change my mind
ReplyDeleteAnne
Fabulous card Pam, the fairies look wonderful dancing under the tree.
ReplyDeleteI think that the larger fairy would also make a fantastic Ballet dancing if you omitted the wings.
Have a fabulous week.

ReplyDeleteSandy xx
I'm not a fan either, Pam... but the way you've set this out with that soft blue background really does make it very appealing. Another 'spot on' creation, my lovely friend. xxx
ReplyDeleteI've never been much into fairies either, but this just changed my mind! It's beautiful! LOVE the wings! This is a gorgeous card & perfect for a special friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! I've never used fairies much, but I always love the look, especially when crafted so beautifully as this. The fusible fiber made fantastic fairy wings! I do have a thing for mushrooms/toadstools. I don't have many in stamps or dies, but I do have a whole lot of photos in one of my Pinterest boards. You're right that any of these fairies could be used at little ballerina girls, which makes them very versatile. Win, win! Beautiful card, Pam!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty fairy scene you have created Pam, I love the birds in the tree too!
