Good morning everyone, we are show casing the New Poppystamps May release with a Blog Blitz over on the blog today. http://poppystamps.typepad.com/
I have used this pretty Ragged Daisy and this is the give away today.
Three petals above top photo show my stages after I die cut the Ragged Daisy petal.. first cut with white card, next I shaded with three blue pens , last photo show some shaping on the petal.
Bottom photo shows them adhered together on a small circle..
Top photo show the center coloured yellow, adhered as shown..bottom I added a good amount of pva glue, then sprinkled gold/orange flock.
Flowers arrange on my topper
This is how I got this shape on the side of my card. First score @ 5.1/2" then fold your card! OPEN this up for next steps.... on this 5.1.2" Using Poppystamps "Dotted Curve" as shown cutting edge towards the center fold..(Holes on the edge) If you want these on the edge of your cut!! you put these hole towards the center. Next I cut "Heart Stream die" adhered to this curve, lovely match.. fold your card..Next using around 2" separate card piece I cut the Dotted Curve again. ..Matched this up to the plain curve and adhered.
close up of this edge.
Sentiments from May release "Hello Notes" CL451 clear stamps. Few butterfly Sprinkles dotted around.
This is the give away Ragged Daisy..

ReplyDeleteJust when I thought your cards could not possibly get any prettier, you fool me, Pam! Be still my heart! This is my new favorite! LOL seriously - such gorgeousness! I can feel the love put into each carefully shaded petal, and each exquisitely designed daisy. Thank you for the technique tutorial - I would never have thought to use flowers like this. I especially like the partial daisy peeking out from behind the oval frame. From there, the flowing hearts, as though you are sending out your love, and then that tiny little "hi". Your card says "sending you flowers, love, and greetings!" Beautiful, my sweet friend! hugs, de
