Butterfly and heart.

Hello friends and visitors.. made this card today, in this extreme heat!!! wish my craft room was the other side of  our house..from dinner till the sun goes down I have the sun blaring in, roller blinds don`t help much, ought to get more black out blinds like we have at other windows..well enough of me complaining..on to my card.

I wanted another go at this Concord & 9th.. Butterfly Card Dies. does make a fastener on a gate fold card front..  I just wanted the butterfly in coloured glitters.
I watched  Dave from Memory Box doing this technique http://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/2017/03/glitter-inlay-technique.html

I have mixed Martha Stewart Glitters and Micro Beads in the similar colours.

The out line butterfly has no cutting edge, I hand cut with scissors after applying onto the plain sticky one..

Pre-Order Concord & 9th Dies Butterfly

Find It Trading Yvonne Creations Love Die Hearts

Butterfly and Rose Heart I have used..

I made a square 6" x 6" with Creative Expression.. Pinpoint Noble dies..Then used an old Little B. heart to cut the heart shape, as this Rose Heart cuts as shown.I doubled up to create depth, leaves coloured with pro marker.

Inside the heart is embossed card, using  Darice "Wire Fence. embossing folder.
Alexandra  Renke "I believe In You"  also glittered.  and Poppystamps Bow & String, This with the two hearts I have used  Dress My Craft.."Sparkling Dust"

Hope like me you like this technique using assorted coloured glitter.

Thank you for stopping by Pam xx.

  4. Fantastic card, Pam! Such an interesting butterfly die. Sorry your heat wave hit so early. I can't imagine how uncomfortable afternoon-facing windows are. Would you believe we actually built our house around that very issue? LOL wishing you a lovely week!

  6. Gorgeous card, Pam, beautiful design and I love the butterfly.

It's been so hot here too in the south west of the UK. Seems like tomorrow's going to be even hotter, before cooling down towards the weekend. xx

  11. Morning Pam, This card is beautiful, I love how you have combined glitter and microbeads, the butterfly looks beautiful and all the dies are gorgeous.
I commend you, still creating in this unbelievable heat, I have the same problem as my craft room is on the back of my house and the sun is there from mid-day until evening time. I have a blackout blind in my craft room and I walked into the room yesterday and it was so hot I walked straight out again hahaha.
I went into Currys/PC World yesterday afternoon and I could have stayed there all day AND all night, air-conditioning, it was a pleasure haha.
Think of me today as I teach my Tuesday Linedance Class this afternoon, the room is warm even when it's cold outside, I think we will all 'melt' hahaha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  15. Oh my, that butterfly is stunning. I watched Dave's video and his was so neat and tidy. I have a love-hate relationship with glitter. Mine is never neat and tidy. You did a wonderful job on yours. The whole card is just lovely. I love the embossed heart inside the wreath. It really adds more texture.

  19. OMG, the microbeads mixed with the colored glitter make that butterfly completely spectacular! I spotted the microbeads right away, then clicked for close up. Wow! One really needs to view close up. Fantastic! The whole card is beautiful, but I just can't get over the butterfly with the glitter and microbeads. The heat sounds miserable. It makes me nonfunctional. We have no central air conditioning because our temps are usually quite comfortable, so when we get that rare hot day I just shut down. Probably the same for you, I'm guessing.

  20. Hi Pam! Gorgeous card and love the texture in the centre. I too have found this weather is not good for crafting and it seems we are not the only ones. It has been cooler today but no crafting for me as I took my mum out. Have a great crafty week, Angela xXx
