Ornate Lace..

Good morning friends and visitors...welcome to new followers, thank you for joining my blog.

Sharing two cards I made yesterday using my new Crafters Companion "Ornate Lace" embossing folder.. One in white pearlescent card..other I have used same card with ink in the folder.

This embossing is so detailed shame to overload with decoration.. I have used One Poppystamps "Stitched Poinsettia Trio" flower with Pine Twig and one Tonic Miniture Moments "Celebrate"

I have inked the side of the folder with C/C writing on, using a brayer and Encore ink as shown.

Place your card in the folder..Run through your die cutting machine..
TIP.. I use Sizzix big shot pro machine These folder`s are very thick!! I kept my platform as for cutting..Not embossing ..used ONE clear plate on top of the folder, no pressure for my machine, with this set up..Check your machine!! do not force through..find your own sandwich.. (Hope This Helps)
Clean your folder with a baby wipe or soapy water..

I made a frame with my old Cherry Lynn.. "Mini Pearl Rectangle Mega Doily"
for both cards.

This is my favourite one all white..  touch of green..
Finished cards 6"x 7.3/4"

Thank you for stopping by and any comments you kindly leave..Pam x

  8. I agree that these folders are so beautiful the design ought not to be too overloaded with embellishments - you've got it just right. Like both versions and also the way you've added a frame to the outside which is what I planned to do next time I use my folders - great minds and all that!!

  14. OMG, that embossing folder is so incredible... I went on a search of US stores, but no luck so far. I'll keep an eye out. I can hardly bear how beautiful this is. Must try the Encore ink (as you had suggested to me before). I only have gold, but it would probably be pretty. You're so right that this embossing should not be covered up, but the frame is perfect.

  31. You've done it again, Pam! Sent me on a journey to find beautiful UK products - in this case, the CC 3D embossing folders. I did end up purchasing the sent on HSN because it was the best value for the $$. I've pinned your project, as well as several others, and hope to spend some time playing with them. HOW GORGEOUS these folders are, and I agree that less-is-more with them. Thank you for explaining exactly what side of the EF you applied the ink to. It's a technique I've only done one other time many years ago, and I always love the appearance of the inked EFs. Your cards are incredibly elegant! Thank you for teaching me a lot today, and enabling me to spend more $$ LOL xo
