Dandelion Stem.

Good morning everyone..
Sharing my post from  http://poppystamps.typepad.com/  blog to-day

Love using flowers and pretty borders, thought I would share how easy it is to make a lacy frame from a border die.

See what I mean! how pretty is this frame and these gorgeous Dandelion Stems both from Poppystamps.

I made a frame with dies from my stash! you could do this with a cutter or craft knife and pencil lines ...Poppystamps "Pretty Stitches" border measure`s  5.1/2" long..my inside frame measure`s the same 5.1/2" outside measure`s 6.1/2" ..this make`s   1/2" frame, ..in the photo I have cut 4 borders , adhered two on the reverse to show, this you do to these 4 borders.

How pretty does this frame look.. I used 3d foam tape to apply to my Lilac background.

I wanted some feature on the background..this is another very easy thing to do.  6.1/2" square Lilac card.. find the center .. using Memory Box..Open Studio Stitched Oval Layers, tape as shown..NEXT   run through your machine to Emboss these dies (Not Cut), next while still on the card run a line of glue center ovals, remove these and add loose glitter, I use Glamour Dust.

Few splatters of white paint on the background, two Dandelion stems adhered the center of the flower only, to finish liquid pearls, with two ribbon swirls from  Open Studio "Banner Parade" ..sentiment from CL443. Grateful Heart stamp set by Poppystamps.

Thank you for stopping by to-day Pam x.

  21. Hi Pam,
oh this is so very gorgeous and stunning.
Love your idea of the pretty border inside the frame.
and the embossed oval looks so pretty in that lilac shade, and of course the die cut dandilions as so pretty too.
I use a similar method on my SW Dies as I don't have the A and B sets so I improvise with cut off bits.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  36. Those dandelions are absolutely beautiful! So delicate. And I love how you did the frame with the pretty border. Definitely an idea I'm filing away. Now wondering if I have a border die that would work. Also, it's very clever the way you used the streamer die as a pretty ribbon. I have that die set and probably wouldn't have thought of this. Lovely card, Pam!
