Chinese Lanterns, with embossed background.

Good morning friends and visitors, sharing my DT post from  Poppystamps blog

I have created  an open card  with  "Hello" sentiment, which you can personalise inside with a greeting.

How delicate are these pretty "Chinese Lanterns" from Poppystamps.  I have placed them onto my embossed background. this is framed with a  frame I found in my bit box.
How I created my embossed background..using "Brilliant Leaf Frame".

Card size 6"x 71.2" I taped this in place..next ran through my die cutting machine! using a silicone/rubber mat you use to emboss your dies.

This is how it came out of my machine. I decided not to add any colour! as I wanted my Chinese Lanterns to be the focal point of the card.

White cut out of these Chinese Lanterns have been adhered as shown, then I then coloured in each cut out using my Pro Marker pens.

Then I cut these again in green card and adhered onto the whit ones on my card.

Next, my bit box frame I added orange detail with a pro marker, adhered flat to make a frame.  Sentiment also by Poppystamps with shadowed green Hello die cut. Foliage "Perfect Pine Needles", hessian bow cut with "Bow and String" die. added some dried foliage from a tree! no idea what though.

Thank you for stopping by Pam xx.

Hi Pam, This card is amazing !! I adore the embossed leaf die for the background, how effective is that, then the amazing chinese lanterns, these are so, so pretty, I absolutely love these. I adore your foliage and your hessian bow adds an 'earthy' feel to the card, and finished off with the beautiful frame and sentiment. Amazing !!

Fantastic! This would absolutely make such a nice winter birthday card, or any winter greeting, actually. I need a December birthday card, and I really need a tan mat. Why, oh why did I give it away when my Grand Calibur broke? What was I thinking?

Gorgeous! And I love the idea of using our dies with just a rubber mat so we can emboss with them! You always give me such wonderful inspiration!

Wow, just how do you continue to pump out such lovely work so regularly? (I work full time and try to post twice a week). Your card is beautiful. Thank you for showing us your step by step. I wondered how you got the orange in the lanterns.
