Thinking Of You..

Good morning friends, followers and callers by,  thank you for your comments you leave when you call, really appreciate the time you take to do so, makes  it worth while Blogging! ...

Sorry another Sympathy card today, I have made two of this design..For my box till needed..

A lovely comment was left on my last card, saying she thinks this is when a handmade card should be done!! I totally agree..When I lost my parents the comfort I gained from friends who sent me a handmade card is hard to explain, just knew they were with their for me..
But I also understand those that cannot make a card, as they find it too upsetting.

The cards are for a very special family we have known for over 45 years.. (hope you understand)

I have had this "Crafts concepts" Sun Rays embossing folder a long while (Discontinued )..Thought I would use it..With  Memory box "Arched Window".. Spellbinders "Crosses one" (Discontinued).
Also used Lavish branch, flowers inked with DI Seedless Preserves, White ribbon also dyed with this ink..

the card size 5"X6.1/2" cut with Grand Rectangles...dainty scallop Cherry Lynn "Mini Pearl Rectangles Doily (length shortened)  emboss the in..Spellbinders A2 matting basics..
embossed card ..first cut with spellbinders Curved Corners matting basic B...
Then same technique I used on this card..http://pam-simcrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/with-sympathy.html  I embossed..
all layered up as shown with gems.

Some items used available at..http://www.oysterstamps.co.uk/

Hello Pam,

What a fabulous card. It says so much in it's simplicity. The embossing folder that you used gives it such depth. Although it is for a sad occasion it would bring such comfort to the receiver.

Hi Pam,
this is a card we all dread having to make, but as you say people take great comfort knowing you care, and have taken the effort to say so, even if it's a bought one.
I love your card it's so perfect a design for a sad occasion.
Wonderful designing as usual, and the colour choice is great.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Such an elegant card Pam! I love how you used the window over the rays, brilliant! That bow is gorgeous too!

I recently needed a sympathy card and realized I rarely make them. I need to make some for when the time comes that I need them. Blessings! Kathy

Pam I have never seen a more appropriate sympathy card. It just strikes the right note and tone and I feel there is something of your very essence worked into it. I do hope that the sympathy cards in your box are not needed for many years. With love, Mary Mac

Hi Pam,
These cards can be so tricky to get 'right' not too much to be over the top, etc.
This card us pure elegance, it's perfect for the occasion Pam, thank you for the wonderful inspiration.

This is a perfect pairing of the dies, the embossing folder. Such a beautiful card for such a sad occasion, but I agree with you on the handmade sympathy. It does seem to be so much more 'personal', than a purchased card. Love the rays with the wonderful cross. This would work so well for a religious Easter card too. Off to enjoy your earlier card. TFS & Happy wkend.
